This article investigates the potential of a large strain morphing skin based on Zero Poisson’s Ratio (ZPR) Fish-Cells metamaterial. A multi-objective genetic algorithm shape optimisation is performed to improve ZPR characteristics High-fidelity finite element models are developed assess performance optimised metamaterial for non-linear strains. detailed joint design study devised obtain consistent behaviour over maximum range.
